Online thrift stores are hot. Goodwill just announced it’s opening up an online store. A South Korean company just announced the acquisition of Poshmark. And last year, Etsy acquired Depop. Is thrifting the newest trend for everyone?

It’s sad to say, but today when I see a headline I immediately look to see the source to make a decision if that headline/story is fake or editorialized. It’s like those are the only two alternatives today.

The Russians are Coming. The Russians are Coming. In case you have not seen the hilarious 1966 movie.

Are there any more cheaper labor markets to which to export jobs? Are there any more “off-the-media-grid” countries to which to export potential environmental liabilities? With climate change policy, will energy ever be cheaper? Will we ever have lower interest rates than we had 18 months ago? If the answer to these questions is “no,” then inflation may be around for a lot longer than we’d like.

It is unfortunate that a low percentage of Floridians affected by hurricane Ian had flood insurance. At the same time, Florida’s property insurance companies were already in a crisis. I guess we’re about to see if this problem trickles down to general financial markets.

Is it just me or do governments all over the world seem to be out of touch with reality?
